ATTENDANCE RECORDING FOR DISTANCE EDUCATION

Please note that attendance is now automated when the student logs into cem online, therefore it is no longer available or required to enter attendance via the website.

Likewise, absence is automated when a student doesn’t log into cem online, and an absent note is required.

Therefore if a student is working from the text books for a day, they must log into cem online to automate their presence.

Thank you.

One Response to ATTENDANCE RECORDING FOR DISTANCE EDUCATION

    Hi there,
You say that if my child doesn’t log on for the day I need to send an Absent Note BUT you don’t give us an email address to send it OR do we have to use SNAIL mail to send it to the MP Office (I hope we do not have to do it this way). This is not properly addressed and unfortunately it is also a bit late as this system has been in service for a little while now as we had to call to find out what was going on. It would be nice if we found out BEFORE things happened so we knew what was going on.
Also what happens if my child logs in on a Saturday or Sunday to do school work OR out of school hours, I mean one of the reason we do Schooling this way was to be able to work around my daughters Diabetes. So I think this needs a little bit of talking about as it may of been a good idea to find out what we the Distant Ed Families would like.
And what happens when there are no lessons available for subjects, my daughter has sent emails to the teachers and while some get in touch reasonably quickly others we wait for weeks (yes not days BUT WEEKS and are still waiting).
My family and I love this method of schooling as it really fits in with our life, BUT it is getting harder when these little things go wrong just like last years Report Cards and I am the one having to go through to PROVE what my children really did. I am sorry to seem cross but after you get several things like this coming at you, it really gets you wondering. So PLEASE can’t we have some sort of prior knowledge about these things.
    Regards an anxious parent
    Gordon Townsend
